Italy gives us one more victory in our fight to defeat Monsanto

(Higher Perspective) The Agriculture Ministry of Italy has decided that enough is enough and are looking to ban Monsanto’s genetically modified crops from their nation. With 80% of Italian citizens in complete support of this ban, Italy’s government doesn’t feel like it has all that much to lose.

Food is Free Project: The Open Source Teaching Farm

The Food is Free Project teaches you how to meet your neighbors, grow food together, and open the doors to collaboration and connection in your community. Food brings us together so let's meet in the garden and make a difference.

We're losing the headquarters of the Food is Free Project to Austin's growing development. We're asking for $250,000 to find and build a permanent HQ for the project to train leaders and youth. We'll be filming every step of the way as our new farm unfolds and sharing how-to videos to spread the inspiration and education. Thank you so much for your support! Every dollar adds up.

On our next farm we'll demonstrate farming and natural building methods, as well as showcase artists, music, theater and workshops. We're excited to create a space that brings people together, experiments with new ideas and pushes the boundaries of what we think is possible. We want to revive your childlike wonder!

Welcome to America’s only completely “Organic City”

(Earth We Are One) Imagine living in a city where all produce sold or served is guaranteed 100% organic by law, with zero crime rate and it’s own Institute For Natural Medicine and Prevention. Would you believe this city does exists? In the heartland of north America?

Too much of America is now controlled by the vast agro-chemical industry, poisoning us and our environment with genetically modified crops, fueled by corporate greed and manipulation. This has come with many well documented harmful effects on our health as well as the devastation of many species including bees, birds and butterflies.

However, back in 2001 Marharishi Vedic City, just 60 miles south of Iowa was officially incorporated. The city was inspired by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who who introduced the technique of Transcendental Meditation (TM) more than 40 years ago and brought enlightenment to millions of people all over the world in a scientific, systematic manner. The name “Vedic” is derived from the Sanskrit word Veda,” meaning“knowledge.” Vedic philosophy is often referred to as the precursor to the modern Hinduism lifestyle.

A key move came in April 2005 when the Marharishi Vedic City council voted in favor of aban on the use of all synthetic pesticides and fertilizers within the city limits, making it officially the first all-organic city in the country, in line with the natural Vedic principles.
